Banksia Square is a unique and delightful Bushland Reserve located near the water tower in the part of Somers that, when looking at it from above, resembles parliament. I know nothing about this place except that it is special and that it should be treasured. A bushland reserve is detailed (by council) as a complex living environment that provides food and shelter to support many species of protected flora and fauna. I like to think of Banksia Square as the perfect place for a tea party, a nice spot for a fairy dance and the ultimate locale for stopping, taking stock and rebooting.

Indecisive
Our weather has been rather indecisive of late providing us with days where both the sun comes out and rainfall is measured, we put on our scarves and gumboots but then get out sunglasses and sunscreen, then the day seems still but look out the window again and its blowing a gale. I do like our seasons, but do we need them all together!

Light Show
Our wet and oh so stormy weather provided us with a most spectacular light show last night and although I am not the bravest in conditions like these, I do appreciate the photographic challenges they supply us with.
This image is from the our back deck looking to the North.

New Addition
We have a new addition to the family,
a super cute lab called Wally.
I am sure that he will love living in Somers as much as we do!

Easter Saturday
What better way to while away an Easter Saturday than with an Easter Egg hunt and picnic at Coolart Mansion. Colourful eggs were spread across the lawn and hidden under nearby trees, the children were gathered and then the hunt was on! After ensuring even stashes and the taste testing of a few eggs a relaxing lunch in the shade was in order.
Happy Easter all!
