So our little cookbook project is going along well and my gorgeous friend Ness and I have met some amazing locals plus tasted some incredible food in the process. Some of my favorite images so far have to be of the little Mushroom picking adventure I took with the a lovely local family along sandy point road - pop over to the blog to see more - www.oursomersproject.blogspot.com
I love that here in Somers I have friends who are incredibly generous with their excess freshly laid eggs. I can't remember the last time I paid for eggs! It makes me smile to see their golden yellow yokes and to know that their producers have had an enjoyable, relaxing life just around the corner.
Today saw me visit the other end of the peninsula with a morning photo session at Sorrento and whilst out and about I thought a quick stroll along the Cape Schank boardwalk was in order. I hadn't had a visit to the boardwalk for a while before today and remembered with a giggle when we once stumbled upon a nude male photo shoot been conducted on one of the Capes beaches! No nudity today - way to windy for anything like that!
I know as a Melbournian I shouldn't say it but I do have a love for Sydney, not in a I want to move there any time soon kind of way but in a oh I am so glad I have family there and can visit and explore kind of way.
We have just played tourist for a week seeing the sites whilst catching up with the family. An amazing time was had with long lazy lunches, market trips, harbour explores and a whole lot of fun with the extended clan. Until next time Sydney xx
So most people know how much I really dislike winter, the wet and cold leave me feeling a little glum and waiting for the warm summer months. I do however love a good frost and when combined with a glorious sunrise it can prove rather spectacular. It was only one degree outside when we popped up this morning and with coffee in hand I looked out to see that a fine layer of ice had formed over the deck so of course I jumped in the car and headed out to take closer look.
Right now I am looking ahead to the 2012-2013 market season and have today placed my application with Craft Markets Victoria. I'll be at various markets throughout the season and will keep you updated as to where you can find me. Displaying a range of images from this blog plus more, I will have two sizes of mounted "ready to frames" available for purchase along with a selection of professionally framed pieces. Drop by and say hi should you see me in your travels.
