up on the hill....

I recently learnt about the old rail trail that runs from Red Hill to Merricks and was lucky enough to have a little bit of free exploring time today. Starting at Red Hill (after a short struggle with finding the track) I headed south and was immediately impressed. The area is absolutely beautiful and packed with enough gorgeous landscape to keep even the fussiest of walker happy.

I'm not sure how far along I ventured but after a little while of wandering and stopping to capture a few I headed back and enjoyed the view heading North.

it's a long weekend........

.....and we are loving it!

lazy starts, catching up with friends, fishing and all we are making the most of the sunshine and enjoying the extended break - hope you all are too!

it's never too cold for a walk on the beach...

...according to the mighty 4 year old, so we threw on our warmest gear and headed out. She was right, I don't think that it can ever be too cold for a walk on the beach, at least not on our beach where I know (hope) I will be safe from snow!

.....it's going to be a somewhat busy weekend, so today it was nice to just simply enjoy the still and calm of the morning  - even if only for a moment!
