swimming with the dolphins..

..there is nothing better than a relaxing day at the beach with good friends. Plenty of laughs mixed with cooling dips in the sea, yummy snacks and refreshing drinks - Heaven!

Today we even had the privilege of swimming with the resident dolphins - although my photo's not great you do get to see just how close they come in. I don't think that I will ever leave this part of the world, really who could blame me!

to market to market..

..and today saw me at Balnarring Market where the wind was strong and the sun was shy.

This market has had its challenges over the years however it's setting is lovely and with a little bit of luck it will get back to it's former glory. 

I love been at the markets meeting all sorts of lovely people.... and doing a little shopping along the way!

 I'll be back on February the 18th - Balnarring Racecourse - 8am - 1pm.

and seriously - who could ever resist a cookie monster cupcake!

..I'm thinking it might be about time we look at a bigger notice board here in Somers as this one is getting just a little chaotic. Lots of losts and founds and random bits and bobs for sale - even a sheep and a dog free to a good home!

Oops, I completely forgot to tell you - it's Red Hill Market this Saturday - 8am to 2pm (an extra hour this month) - Red Hill Showgrounds.

to celebrate..

..5 fabulous years!

Our daughter celebrated her fifth birthday today with a pink themed party complete with pink toadstool cake and pink unicorn pinata. Born rather early at 26 weeks and weighing only 690 grams it is on occasions like this that we remember all of the fabulous doctors, nurses and support staff of the Mercy Women's Hospital in Heidelberg who helped us through those challenging times - they will forever remain in our thoughts and hearts.

Majestic Magnetic

I was lucky enough to this year celebrate Christmas on Magnetic Island Queensland.

Having first visited this tropical paradise around 12 years ago I was thrilled to be back and to be able to stay a while. Things haven't changed much since since my last stay however the addition of a luxurious day spa, a well appointed supermarket and readily available espresso coffee did make the stay just a little more enjoyable!
